What is your role at Creaseys?
I am the Head of Business Development. My role is to help our professionals understand, and deliver, great customer service from the client’s point of view. Ensure that we present the very best of Creaseys to our target market and grow the top and bottom lines of the business.
What are your specialisms and areas of interest?
I spent the early part of my career in finance so I am more interested than most in how professional services firms make (and lose) profit. My career has been fairly neatly split between working with lawyers and accountants and I think the evolution of the industry in the next five to ten years will fundamentally shift what good looks like. Firms that are prepared to proactively define that themselves (like Creaseys) will, I am sure, be the winners in the long run.
What's your proudest achievement at Creaseys (so far)?
We are changing the conversation with clients to focus on value and that is an incredibly exciting place to be. After all we don't sell hours, we sell the outcomes and benefits that clients get from working with us. Alongside that we are very passionate about our client base and making sure we work with clients we can add the most value for. That means we sometimes have to say goodbye to some clients that are no longer the Right Fit for us. That's a very brave thing for a business to do.
