Tottingworth Farms is a third generation family business which raises award-winning cattle and sheep and is a key link in the food supply chain.
Creaseys have been trusted advisers to the business for more than 20 years and director Sarah Wareham said she was always in touch with chief executive Emma Roberts and human resources manager Vivienne Drysdale.
Sarah said: “Emma is one of those people you can talk to easily. She is not an accountant who tries to baffle you with rubbish. She is a very down to earth sort of person.” One of the things Sarah most appreciates is that she has access to a wide variety of help and advice from within Creaseys.
“They helped when we applied for grant funding for the cutting room, they helped with our business plan, with accounts and wages and they offer good back up on Sage (accountancy software),” said Sarah. “They are big enough to be able to put you in touch with the right person internally to help you do something,” she added.
“They are not just accountants and can give you general help with the business. If I have got a problem I can just phone up and chat it through with Emma and that is why I would always stay with Creaseys.”
Emma, in turn, says she enjoys the close working relationship with Tottingworth Farms Ltd and is pleased that she is able to draw on her own experience of running Creaseys to help her clients.
It has been a strategic decision for the Firm to build a Practice that is large enough to support the key specialists required to look after owner-managed businesses whilst making sure it does not become too large to lose the personal service that they know their clients value.
Tottingworth Farms are based at Little Tottingworth Farm in Broad Oak. They have 100 hectares of grassland and 44 hectares of hardwood woodland within the area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
They boast an award-winning herd of Pedigree Limousin, British Blue and Galloways Cattle with breeding stock for sale, a commercial herd of crossbred cattle and a commercial flock of sheep.
They have their own abbatoir, are proud suppliers of Tottingworth Farm Beef as well as lamb and pork and number Creaseys staff among their customers, occasionally delivering bulk orders to our offices at Tunbridge Wells.
One of the things that you will often notice is the way Creaseys likes to support its own clients. “We are happy to recommend Tottingworth Farms products to our own staff and there is great excitement when orders are delivered,” said Emma.
