Hi I'm Michael...
What is your role at Creaseys?
I have been part of the Creaseys team for ten years, having joined in 2008. I am a Client Manager and Team Leader in our Corporate and Business practice, looking after a large portfolio of our owner-managed businesses and their owners. This comprises a diverse portfolio from a wide range of industries, who require a broad range of services, including audit, accounting, company secretarial and tax and VAT advisory services. As a team leader, I am actively involved in mentoring and developing members of our corporate team, which I find very rewarding. I particularly enjoy seeing the progress of our trainees as they progress through their studies and grow in confidence and expertise. I also provide support and development to members of our team who have finished their ACA studies.
What are your specialisms and areas of interest?
I have wide experience of acting for corporate clients in the construction and financial services sectors. I have extensive experience of acting for FCA-regulated firms, including insurance intermediaries, brokers and a number of financial services firms. I also have a number of clients that are part of UK-based and overseas groups, and therefore have wide experience of the often complex issues faced by my clients regarding group consolidated financial reporting and auditing. I am a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Outside of work I enjoy spending quality time with my family, keeping fit (I particularly enjoy swimming these days), and am a keen guitarist. I am currently learning to play the piano, courtesy of free lessons from my wife!
What's your proudest achievement at Creaseys (so far)?
Playing a part in the process of the firm’s significant modernization and embracing of the 21st century world we now live and operate in.
What three words would you use to describe Creaseys?

- Eating and cooking food (on the other side of the coin, staying fit too…)
