Creaseys is supporting a unique Sculpture Trail in the heart of the Sussex countryside.
The trail, consisting of 70 traditional and modern sculptures created from marble, bronze, stone and wood, is set against the beautiful backdrop of the 19th Century Borde Hill Garden, Haywards Heath. The trail’s mix of art and nature aims to coax visitors from one part of the garden to the next, creating the urge to discover another artist’s ‘treasure’.
All the sculptures featured are the work of members of the Surrey Sculpture Society, which was established in 1994 and now comprises some 140 members. Borde Hill’s Eleni Stephenson-Clarke, who organised the trail in conjunction with Surrey Sculpture Society, said: “The trail is amazing, it really does hold a surprise around every corner. Visitors will certainly need to go around it more than once to take in every detail.”
Visitors will be able to buy the works on show once the Sculpture Trail ends on 31 May. Guided tours and hands-on demonstrations will also be available. www.bordehill.co.uk
